The best Wizard of Oz gifts in this selection include two collectible Dorothy dolls, a soft Dorothy plush, a Wicked: For Good story set, and a general baby doll for imaginative play. Choose the Barbie collector dolls for a classic character display, the Jazwares plush for a cuddly Dorothy, or the story set for a group of Oz-inspired figures and accessories. The New York Doll Collection baby doll is not a Wizard of Oz character, so it is best considered only if you also want a general-purpose play doll.

Jazwares Dorothy Plush
This 8-inch Dorothy plush is best for fans who want a soft character toy rather than a poseable display doll. It wears Dorothy’s recognizable blue dress and ruby red slippers, making the character easy to identify as part of a Wizard of Oz collection.
Jazwares describes the plush as soft and durable, with a design intended for cuddling or display. Its compact size may also suit a gift recipient who prefers a small plush to a larger collectible.
- Best for: Younger fans, plush collectors, and casual display.
- Why it stands out: It combines the iconic Dorothy outfit with a soft, huggable format.
- Consider: This is a plush toy, not a fashion doll with changeable poses or accessories.
Barbie Wizard Of Oz Dorothy
This Barbie Collector Dorothy is best for buyers seeking a character doll connected to the classic story. The product description places Dorothy on her journey along the Yellow Brick Road toward the Emerald City, accompanied by her Yorkshire Terrier, Toto.
The Dorothy-and-Toto pairing makes this a stronger choice for fans who want recognizable story details rather than a generic doll. Its collector designation also makes it a natural option for display, though the available product details do not specify additional accessories or articulation.
- Best for: Barbie collectors and Wizard of Oz fans who want Dorothy with Toto.
- Why it stands out: Its story-specific character pairing gives it more Oz context than a standard fashion doll.
- Consider: The listing identifies it as a collector doll, so check the product details if you need a doll for active play.
Hollywood Legends Barbie As Dorothy
This special-edition Barbie is best for collectors interested in an older Wizard of Oz release. It belongs to the 1994 Hollywood Legends Collection and includes a mini hair brush, giving it a distinct place among the listed Dorothy products.
Choose this doll if the collection edition and release year matter more to you than a play set with multiple figures. The listed features are limited, so they do not confirm the doll’s full outfit details, packaging condition, or other included items.
- Best for: Barbie collectors and fans of vintage-themed movie merchandise.
- Why it stands out: It is specifically identified as a 1994 Hollywood Legends special edition.
- Consider: The product information lists only a mini hair brush as an included accessory.
Wicked: For Good Oz Story Set
This Mattel Oz Story Set is best for buyers who want several small figures for play or display. Inspired by Universal Pictures’ Wicked: For Good, the multipack includes five dolls, one animal friend, and five storytelling accessories. The figures measure around 3 inches and have four points of articulation: the head, arms, and waist.
Listed accessories include Dorothy Gale’s basket, her dog, Glinda’s wand, and the Tin Man’s axe. This is a better choice for group storytelling than either single Dorothy doll, but it is based on Wicked: For Good rather than being a standalone classic-film Dorothy doll.
- Best for: Fans who want a small cast and accessories for imaginative play.
- Why it stands out: Multiple figures and story props come in one set.
- Consider: The figures are around 3 inches tall, so they are much smaller than standard-size dolls.
New York Doll Collection Baby Doll
This 11-inch baby doll is not a Wizard of Oz character, but it may suit shoppers comparing general-purpose dolls for children. It has a soft body, vinyl head, arms, and legs, and comes dressed in a striped onesie and matching hat. A pacifier accessory is included.
The listing describes the doll as small enough for children to hold and carry, and it states that it is safety tested and approved for children age 3 years and up. It is better for baby-doll pretend play than for an Oz-themed collection.
- Best for: Buyers who want a compact baby doll for imaginative play.
- Why it is included: It is a doll option in the supplied selection, although it is not Oz-themed.
- Consider: Choose another item above if a Wizard of Oz character or collectible is essential.
Buying Guide: How To Choose A Wizard Of Oz Doll
Should you choose a plush or a collector doll?
Choose the Jazwares Dorothy plush if softness and cuddling are priorities. Select one of the Barbie Dorothy dolls if you want a character figure for a collection or display. The Barbie Wizard of Oz doll includes Toto, while the Hollywood Legends edition is identified as a 1994 special edition.
Do you want one character or a group?
A single Dorothy doll is a focused choice for a Dorothy fan. The Wicked: For Good set offers more figures and storytelling accessories, so it is better for buyers who want a small ensemble. Check the listed scale: those figures are around 3 inches tall.
Is the product actually Wizard of Oz-themed?
Confirm the character and story before buying. The Dorothy plush and both Barbie Dorothy products are directly tied to the Wizard of Oz. The Mattel set is inspired by Wicked: For Good, while the New York Doll Collection item is a general baby doll, not an Oz character.
What details should collectors verify?
Compare the edition information and included items stated in each listing. The Hollywood Legends product is described as a 1994 special edition with a mini hair brush. The other product descriptions provide different details, such as Toto, clothing, or story accessories. Do not assume an item is included unless the listing says so.
